Five years after completing her PhD, Siedine has established herself as a true scholar. She is nationally and internationally recognised as an emerging young nurse researcher. Her research programme focuses on nurse outcomes, specifically empirical measures of the physical and psychological work environment and its effect on the nurse. Within this programme, Siedine has excelled with regard to publications, supervision of postgraduate students, serving on international and national collaborative research projects, obtaining funding and presenting her published work at national and international conferences.  Siedine has also been recognised by her institution, and nationally as an exceptional young nurse educator. Furthermore, Siedine serves on several national and international committees, boards and task teams, and also assists local health care facilities with the measurement and implementation of interventions to improve staff satisfaction and retention.
