Unique contribution/vision

My unique contribution to the Academy of Nursing of South Africa (ANSA) is to strengthen leadership, research capacity, policy engagement, and the preservation of nursing history across Southern Africa. I will support the development of nurse leaders through mentorship and focused leadership training, preparing nurses to work effectively in complex health systems. I will build research capacity by encouraging collaborative, interdisciplinary research and supporting emerging researchers to grow their skills and outputs. In addition, I am involved in a nursing history project that documents and preserves the contributions and experiences of nurses in South Africa, ensuring this knowledge informs current practice and future leadership. I will also contribute to policy and advocacy efforts aimed at improving practice environments, with a focus on strong leadership, effective management, and meaningful nurse participation in decision-making in both practice and academia.
