Unique contribution/vision

Mande Toubkin has played a pivotal role in shaping emergency, trauma, transplant and socially responsive healthcare in South Africa, building systems that save lives while embedding compassion and equity into care. Drawing on her clinical roots in nursing and emergency medicine, she has led the development of organised trauma systems, Level 1 trauma centres in the private sector, comprehensive transplant and disaster management programmes, sexual assault care services, and impactful corporate social investment initiatives that extend advanced care and support to some of the country’s most vulnerable communities

My unique contribution and vision for ANSA is to help elevate nursing as a driving force for high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based care across South Africa. I aim to support ANSA in strengthening advanced nursing practice, building leadership capacity, and amplifying the voice of nurses in policy, education, and service delivery. By championing person-centred, compassionate care and equitable access to specialised services, my vision is for ANSA to be recognised as a key catalyst for transforming health outcomes and nurturing the next generation of nursing leaders.
