Dr Elizabeth Mokoka has a wealth of experience in training and mentoring, including the training of trainers and mentors, as well as managing programmes for health systems strengthening and capacity building. She worked with the National Department of Health, heading the task team that developed the National Clinical Mentoring Guidelines for Integrated Service. Her passion lies in ophthalmic nursing, HIV care and community healthcare strengthening, attested by her continuous involvement in these specialities. She currently serves as a member of SANC’s technical working group on CPD, the ministerial task team on community eye care and ophthalmic services and on various ophthalmology forums nationally and regionally.
