Colloquium 2016

The Academy of Nursing of South Africa will be holding its annual colloquium on the 26 and 27 August 2016 in Johannesburg with the theme; Nursing at the cross roads: Navigating the challenges ahead.

Nursing is currently experiencing many challenges and the colloquium will provide an opportunity to discuss important issues such as the new staff nurse qualification, accreditation,  post graduate specialist qualifications, the Scope of Practice, as well as interrogating the development and maintenance of standards of clinical practice. Contemporary issues such as the National Health Insurance (NHI) will also be explored. Participants will reflect on these issues and develop proposals regarding the way forward.
